Hannah DeBlock, Soprano

Hannah DeBlock is the Third Prize Winner of the 2014 Joan Taub and Alan Ades Vocal Competition, and a finalist in both the 2015 Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition and the 2015 Connecticut American Opera Idol Competition.

Her operatic highlights include “Jenny” in Three sisters who are not sistersby N. Rorem, the “Witch” in E. Humperdink’s Hansel and Gretel, “Pamina” and “Erste Dame” in Die Zauberflöte , and “Micaëla” in Bizet’s Carmen . She has also performed with the Baltimore Opera Workshop under the direction of Louise Toppin. Currently, Ms. DeBlock is collaborating on a monodrama by composer Jeff Scott to be premiered in 2016.

Ms. DeBlock has received degrees from University of North Carolina and Manhattan School of Music.
